The Enforcement Division for the City of Mississauga is hosting a Community Workshop this evening at Frank McKechnie Community Centre from 7pm to 8:30pm.
They are looking for ideas from tenants, property managers, owners and contractors on recommendations for the Adequate Heat By-Law. Reviewing the by-law will help ensure that landlords are flexible when regulating heat in their buildings during fluctuating and extreme weather patterns.
Some questions they will be considering are:
• Should cooling provisions be added to the By-law at the expense of the owner?
• Should air conditioning be considered an essential service?
• Should the dates in the adequate heat By-law be flexible?
The second workshop will take place on Wednesday, March 28th from 8-9:930pm at the River Grove Community Centre.
