The City recently purchased 9.5 acres of land to add to Malton Village Park – sections 1&3 on this diagram. The city will be building a field hockey pitch and a soccer field on that land for the community. There will be access and on street parking on Drew Road as well as the small parking lot off Beverly Street.

The spectacular MALTON letters on Derry Road were a joint project between the Province of Ontario’s previous Liberal Government and the Malton Business Improvement Association (BIA). It was tendered by the City and built by UNIT 11, the same company that built the letters at Toronto City Hall. The project was installed on time December 2019, and within the budget of approximately $400,000. August 2020 — the Malton BIA used the funding that usually goes into a huge Canada Day event, with spectacular fireworks, to rent Victory Hall for the month, put protective coverings on the floors, buy equipment and supplies and set up a Bike Repair Shop. The purpose of the shop was to process donated bikes from individuals and organizations like the Region of Peel Waste Management Department and MiWay lost bikes.
