IT’S A HIT!
Since the “Soft Opening” October 10, more than 10,000 visits to the hub have been logged, and 1300 youth have received their free membership cards!
The Board of Directors is made up entirely of youth from the two Malton secondary schools and those who have moved on to post secondary locations. Seen here, the Board ran the official Opening and presented roses to Councillor Parrish, who envisioned the Hub and saw it through to completion.

Fabulous murals cover two walls of the amazing atrium, a two storey space with natural light and music.
The Hub was funded by the Region ($6m), the City of Mississauga ($5m) and private donors ($1.7m) some of whom attended the opening. Their names are on a plaque in the lobby. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (Canada) Aerospace funded the amazing teaching kitchen appliances with a donation of $60,000.
The conversion of the Lincoln Alexander pool cost $12.7 million and took 18 months to complete.
