One of the most rewarding parts of serving as mayor is having the opportunity to connect with local business owners who are passionate about their community and committed to making a difference.
Recently, the mayor had the chance to speak with Larry McCormick, a community-minded business owner recognized for his innovative ideas, strong local engagement, and genuine care for the well-being of his employees. Conversations like these highlight the important role local businesses play in building a stronger, more connected Mississauga.
The discussion also touched on the importance of supporting local initiatives and encouraging residents to continue shopping locally through the #ShopMississauga campaign. Another exciting idea raised was support for bringing a Ronald McDonald House closer to the community, an initiative that could provide comfort and assistance to families during difficult times.
As the mayor shared on social media:
“One of the very best parts of my role as mayor is chatting with business owners like Larry McCormick – full of ideas, engaged with the community and interested in their employees’ lives and well being. Shop Mississauga and Ronald McDonald House which is a really great idea!”
