Mississauga council will provide a $2.7 million grant to Peel Region to offset development charges for a massive affordable housing project in the city centre.

Proposed by the Daniels Corporation, a Toronto-based development firm, the $66-million development will contain 174 rental units to help reduce the number of people on the region’s social housing wait list.
