Trillium Health Partners and the Ontario Government today marked a historic milestone by breaking ground on The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital and Shah Family Hospital for Women and Children – Ontario’s first hospital dedicated to the specialized needs of women and children. The design triples the size of the existing Mississauga Hospital to meet the needs of one of the country’s most diverse and rapidly growing communities. Already one of the busiest hospitals in Canada, Trillium Health Partners is projected to face more demand for health care than any other Ontario hospital over the next 20 years.
