It was a relatively simple and straightforward motion concerning parking on statutory holidays that Ward 3 Councillor Chris Fonseca brought forward this morning at City Hall.

Fonseca introduced the motion calling on the municipality to allow vehicles to park on city streets on statutory holidays such as Christmas or Canada Day longer than the usual permitted three hours. The reason was simple – over the past year she had received a number of complaints from residents who were less than pleased when either they or guests had received a parking ticket while visiting on one of the holidays.
