Once she got the floor at the “visioning” session for the latest project to revitalize Malton last Thursday night, you knew that Camar Cameron was going to give everyone a little history lesson on her neighbourhood.

The co-founder of Malton Moms was the designated “reporter” from her table of participants, who enumerated the community’s strengths and weaknesses and recommended how to make it better.

Cameron has lived in Malton since 2001, witnessing a steady stream of optimistic studies funded by hopeful community agencies. They usually earn a quick obscurity due to lack of follow-up funding.
