Attracting new members has been a tough task for the Malton Tennis Club, but Clem Burrowes and other volunteers keep trying for the love of the game.

Burrowes, the club’s junior program coordinator, cites the transient nature of most Malton residents as a major reason why registration has been a struggle.

There are also socioeconomic factors at play, as some parents in the community working multiple jobs and don’t have enough time to take their children out to the courts at Paul Coffey Park (formerly Wildwood Park). Read More >>
